MARK Bower has revealed more players are due to join Guiseley after Adam Smith agreed a deal for next season.

The winger arrived originally on loan from Wrexham last season but has now penned a contract for the 2016-17 campaign.

Bower said at least two more men were lined up to arrive at Nethermoor Park in the coming days.

“I’m pleased to get Adam on board for next season,” said Bower.

“He had a disrupted spell with us last year when he came to us from Wrexham.

“He was a bit unfortunate with illness, injury and he had a broken bone in his hand in one game which kept him out for a few weeks.

“He’s had a catalogue of things which were more unfortunate than anything else.

“We’ve got him signed on for next year on a deal which is a bit more incentive-based, so we have laid it out to him that he needs to come back fit and strong.

“That will enable him to make enough appearances to fully achieve what is in the contract for him, so it’s incentive-based on that side.”

Bower added that two more players were lined to come on board for next season as the Lions seek to build on last season’s survival exploits in their maiden campaign in the National League.

The former defender added: “We’ve got a couple lined up.

“One is all but agreed and it’s just a case of getting the contract signed.

“That will be good because he has good experience in the Football League but still at a good age to come in and do a good job for us.
