ILKLEY have a mounting injury list as they prepare for Saturday's National League Three trip to Hull.

Last Saturday's 23-19 home win over Burnage saw No 8 Will Davies and centre Will Marlow suffered head and facial injuries respectively.

The loss of Davies, one of the try scorers for the Dalesmen, means that Australian Nick Carolan is likely to return to the side at Hull.

Head of rugby Rhys Morgan is hoping that Joe Rowntree and Pete Small will shrug off knocks they received in Ilkley's second win of the season to take their places.

Morgan said: "Injuries are part and parcel of the game but I was concerned by certain aspects of Saturday's match. There are points I have looked at again on the tape and would like to take up with the referee.

"There were a few high tackles going in and that is something that I feel needs to be addressed at a time when there is a focus on head injuries and concussion."

Morgan believes his side are finding their feet in their new surroundings but is aware there is still work to be done.

"I feel we need to be a bit fitter and stronger," he said. "We need to be able to last the full 80 minutes and match the strength of our opponents. It is something we have identified and will work on with the squad."
