A CARE trust that runs a mental health centre at Airedale Hospital has struck gold.
Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust has received an occupational health and safety gold award for the second year running.
And it is the eighth year in succession the trust has been recognised in the Royal Society of the Prevention of Accident (RoSPA) initiative.
The awards scheme, now in its 60th year, acknowledges the commitment to accident and ill-health prevention of businesses and organisations.
Paul Challenger, the trust's health and safety officer, said: "It is a great thrill to win our second consecutive gold achievement award as we continue to demonstrate improvements in excellence.
"Health and safety are paramount to the trust."
Julia Small, for RoSPA, said: "To receive an award at such a highly-regarded event is a great achievement for our winners.
"It recognises their commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record and raises the bar for other organisations to aspire to."
