QUEUES formed outside The Grove Bookshop in Ilkley on Tuesday morning as tickets went on sale for Ilkley Literature Festival.

Ilkley Literature Festival Director Rachel Feldberg said: "As always the first day of ticket sales has been very busy, with political events, including Ken Clarke, Nick Clegg and journalist Owen Jones being particularly popular. The Festival programme is packed with over 240 events including Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, Dame Jacqueline Wilson and an exciting Harry Potter show as well as dozens of events showcasing a wide variety of authors, poets and writers just waiting to be discovered so people might like to take a chance on someone new as well as picking up a ticket for more well-known writers, I'm sure they'll be pleasantly surprised.”

Tickets are still available for most events and they can be booked online anytime via www.ilkleyliteraturefestival/org.uk or through the Box Office team on 01943 816 714 (10am - 4pm on Monday to Friday and Saturday, 10am - 1pm). A handling charge of £2 applies on all telephone orders.

Tickets can be booked in person for King's Hall events only from Ilkley Visitor Information Centre or The Grove Bookshop.
