A TEACHER from Guiseley is to run a massive 106km in support of her brave nephew on Saturday.

Julia Llewellyn will be running the Isle of Wight ultra-marathon 'The Challenge' – the equivalent to two-and-a-half marathons – for her two-year-old nephew, Dylan Llewellyn-Richards, of Menston, who has suffered ill health since birth.

He had to be tube-fed following a series of complications after suffering severe reflux, and has undergone numerous operations and frequent stays at Leeds General Infirmary.

His condition has deteriorated in the past year and he is now dependent on Total Parental Nutrition (TPN), where he is fed intravenously via his main vein into the top of his heart. He has also been admitted to hospital suffering from septicaemia.

The family has been helped by Martin House Children's Hospice in Boston Spa, which provides care and support for children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and it is this good cause Julia is raising money for.

She has set herself a target of £2,000. Visit justgiving.com/runfordylan to sponsor her.
