Established in 2007, WTA has a reputation for visually stunning productions and beautiful choreography. Lynne Wright founded the school to promote her ethos of developing excellence and confidence in a safe, friendly and supportive environment. A show such as this is the culmination of these values, with a cast aged from three to 60 working together, supporting each other and creating magic through dance to retell this time-old tale.

It’s an ambitious, complex production: there are nearly 500 costume changes and a cast of over 100, and includes numerous dance genres including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and Bollywood. The effect is a memorable retelling of the adventure told through dance.

For the uninitiated, the story follows Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy, four young evacuees from war-torn London, as they discover the magical land of Narnia where fawns, nymphs and dryads roam, trees listen and the evil White Witch turns her enemies to stone. The four children take on the challenge of defeating the witch and freeing Narnia from its eternal winter with the help of Aslan, a mighty lion. Even if you already know the story, seeing the characters through dance will add a new dimension.
